Hi everyone,
I have just got the new iphone3GS and have been looking in to jailbreaking it. However after doing some online research it has come to my attention that there is a bit of controversy weather or not it is possible to do as apple have blocked all down grading from 3.1 to 3.0.
I'm looking for someone with knowledge on this as i'm very tempted to try still, yet my doubts are encouraging me to seek advice from you friendly bunch.
Kind Regards
Janine

Thanks for fast reply,
I'm looking to try and downgrade from 3.1 to any version that will enable me to jail break my phone but after reading some info i researched on the net, Its telling me that apple made it impossible for me to downgrade from 3.1 to 3.0 as they have disregarded the old firmwear.
Kind regards
I'm not entirely sure if you can. I want to think that you cannot, because when the firmware is updated, the baseband can, and is sometimes also updated. I'm not sure if old firmware would work with new baseband.
Honestly, I want to think you can't though. But I also wouldn't worry, there hasn't been a version of the firmware that hasn't been able to be hacked for jailbreaking. It might take a week or so, but it should come.
