how to unlock iphone 3gs ios 4.1?.
i have already jailbreaked it but its not unlocked

If you updated to the latest firmware officially, then you're out of luck, until an unlock is released. If you updated with a CFW (unlikely), you'll be able to unlock as normal using ultrasn0w...

limera1n is the software that can jailbreak iphone. it also install cydia in it.
through cydia you can download ultrasn0w to unlock GSM carrier.
you can download limera1n from here

1. Jailbreak iPhone 3GS on iOS 4.1 using the guide given here.
2. Launch Cydia.
3. Choose the ? Manage ? tab at the bottom.
4. Choose the ? Sources ? option.
5. Tap the ? Edit ? button and then on the ? Add ? button.
6. Then add the source ? http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com ?.
7. After the source is added, search for ? ultrasn0w 1.1-1 ? in Cydia.
8. Install the Ultrasn0w 1.1-1 app to unlock iPhone 3GS 4.1 firmware.
9. Restart your iPhone 3GS.
That?s it! Now you have an unlocked iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.1.

The current baseband for firmware 4.1 is 05.14.02 which is not currently supported by ultrasn0w, so this method does not work!

Nope, not until there is an unlock released for the new baseband. Apparently they're gonna hold fire until firmware 4.2 is released before releasing a new unlock, as it's supposedly not that far away.
So short, answer, you're out of luck...

Link is correct, the firmware is out around november 9th, so an unlock for 05.14.....should not be too long after that release.
If you have to apologise....it's too late.

Cheers mate... the unlcock has come.
Just upgrade to iOS 4.2.1 and use Red Snow to jailbreak it and also tick the install iPAD baseband (6.15). After this unlock using UltraSnow in Cydia.
Do anything carefully! for more info check the post "Ultra-recycle"

boss,, you can unlock it in ultrasn0w.com thru cydia but it still no signal because the baseband is update into 5.14...
all you need to do is to update your phone version and baseband into 4.2.1ver and 6.15 baseband so that it will have signal after unlocking.....
be sure to save shshblobs
you need redsnow 9.6b6 but it is thetered....
if you want unthetered,,you need greenpoison.....
