Mirror Iphone 3g display on PC?

I am looking for something to mirror my iphone 3g display on to my PC monitor, After hours of research I have not found what I'm looking for. Since 3.0 Apple has disabled the use of 3rd party A/V cables, If someone knows of a workaround to enable the use of 3rd party cables that would also work because I do not want to fork over $50 for a composite cable. I do not want to mirror the display over VNC because of the lag/skipping, as I want to do this mainly for games and videos, I am looking for something like "Remotejoy" for the psp, that lets you mirror your psp display with your computer via usb, I want to use my usb sync cable that came with my iphone to mirror the display, or a workaround to allow me to use 3rd party A/V cables on iphone 3g 3.0. Help is GREATLY appreciated.
