Greetings. I do not have cable, but I have a flatscreen television capable of picking up the modern HD broadcasts. Still, I use an antenna (rabbit ears) to get an extra ten channels, bringing the count up to about thirty. I have an RCA DVD/VCR combo; however, when I hook up the TV, antenna, and combo, I loose half of my channels. I believe it is the fault of the combo because it is crap; over the course of a week, the clock looses about a minute. I would like to buy a new DVD recorder, so I can tape shows. (Actually, I'd like another DVD/VCR combo but would settle for a DVD recorder.) I believe I need one with an ATSC tuner. Does anyone have any advice on what to do, suggestions on machines that I should buy, or even admonitions on what I'm doing wrong. I've e-mailed Radio Shack (no luck) and Best Buy (no reply). In frustration, I turn to you.
