I have been trying to copy a tv program on a blank dvd +r disc for awhile and seems that I can't. I have a westinghouse 27" flatscreen, a samsung dvd-vr357 combo and a motorola set top box. I double check the connections with the manuals but nothing seems to work. I have hdmi from the cable box to the tv, then from the set top to the rf modulator, the components yellow,red white, then from the dvd/vcr recorder video out to the tv video 1, anther white red and yellow. It seens I missing one from the cable set top box to the dvd/vcr. is this possible?

Before pressing the Rec. button, if you switch the TV take input from the recorder - does it display what the recorder is seeing ok?
