Is there a native (you download files directly to phone)torrent client for android which has a scheduler in it, so as to start the ownload automatically in the off peak hours? This is possible on the pc using utorrent and on the phone?If there is not is there a way around it? say a method of starting the app at a predetermined time automatically? I am using Sony eperia ray with 2.3 android.

You could use ADownloader.It dosent have a scheduler built in but you may be able to set it up using Tasker.

I have used aTorrent in the past. It has an inbuilt scheduler, however it is not a free app.

Nowadays smartphones and tables have overtaken the PC era, you can now do most of you PC work on your phones and tablets. through downloading torrents is something i had never thought of doing on my phone. But it was just a matter of time before developers started releasing the Android versions of their desktop software's.

True there is another application you can use if you have enough space and want to do phone jumping ...

By the way

Phone jumping means that your phone downloads the torrent for you using free wifi services throughout the day at local spots to avoid detection from prying eyes including your isp.

you could use frostwire however i recommend not using it to search isohunt so if it ask's you to do so say no thanks because then you will be sharing porn and lots of it.
