I have noticed that my samsung captivate averages over the past 6 months approx 275mb/mo. When i had my iphone, i averaged (same data usage) 30 or 40 mb /mo. Anyone know why? Is there any way to stop an android phone from using so much data?

Save all the WiFi hot spots that you normally go to. I have 200MBs per month of data usage and I am using about 180 MBs, which is cutting it close. I try to use WiFi as much as possible.
EX: I have WiFi saved at work, school, and home, which are the three places I am at the most.
