Evo 4g Nook and Kindle apps don't work with Calibre

I've selected android device from setup, but the nook and kindle apps don't list transfered e-books. I've tried .mobi, .pdf, and .epub and moved the files to the apps respective folders but they are still not viewable. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for listening.
