I'm planning on getting an unlocked myTouch 3G slide from eBay but I'm on the AT&T service. I heard from somewhere that I would be able to use the phone's data, but I wouldn't have any actual 3G coverage. Can anyone confirm this? Also, is there a way to get 3G coverage from the phone even though I won't be with T-Mobile? I'd like to use the data for it, but I don't want to have the slow speeds of Edge. I wanna know because I'm going to upgrade my contract soon and I would like a good GSM Android phone. Its either the myTouch or the iPhone 4, the firmware which I personally am not a huge fan of anymore because it has gotten old.
