Help me choose a multimedia hard drive please

Hi all, I am looking to buy a multimedia hard drive but am finding it very hard to choose one. So what I want to do is 1....store any movies,photos and music from my laptop on it.
2.... play the above on my tv via HDMI lead or wirelessly ?
3.... Spend between ?150-200.

So WD or Seagate or Iomega or Emtec or A.n.other. Thanks for any advice.....

im using a 2tb WD elements seems to work fine for storing movies.they playback fine on my computer aswell.
