Yes,
I see that it should play the files I am trying to use.
But I think Tongs007 really has an excellent point.
An Android TV Box should play these types of files and does so much more than WDLive.
It would seem to be poor choice to go with WD if in fact Androied box can play these files.
Android Box you can add players to it.
Not so with WD.
Thank you,

I spoke to Roku serveral times about this.
It worked perfectly before.
Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced player for me that can read many differnt files?
I only need it to read files from HD.
No streaming needed.
My Dune works great but I do not want to spend that much for such a simple device.
Only using thjis for bedroom TV.
Thank you,

vlc,wmp,real player..
Great!
Exactly my point.
One can not add VLC to WDLive.
That is exactly why Tongs007 keeps talking about Android box.
Turns out I was speaking with another Android Dist.
Not the one who distributes ATV devices in USA.
I am trying to contact MyGicaUSA about ATV 1200 which is not listed on their site.
Thank you

yes the ATV should play the files mate

As I thought.
If for some reason this device could not play these files I cauld add WLC WM Real Player.
That is why WD is not the best option.
Today I am going to try to contact MyGica USA regarding ATV 1200 model.
They do not show it on their Web site.
I have been having dificultie reaching them.
Most appreciated

No problem scorpNZ,
I am sure the WE Live device is fine for most needs but I seem to need something different.
Thank you

Hi everyone. Recently I have been only using VLC, I know it looks pretty outdated but it works without any problems and open умкн single format you can think of. So this one is the best at least for me.

Welll,
A quick thank you to Tongs007.
This device is so much better than Roku.
It just so happens to play all my files on my HD.
If not, I could use VLC.
But have not figured out how to use VLC with it yet.
This little device is amazing.
So much content to choose from.
Yes,
the remote is so quirky but it does work.
For some rather odd reason.
I was not interested in Google TV.
Now it is Android TV.
this is probably the best purchase I have made in quite some time.
Most appreciated,
