well his dvd player and tv would have to be 3d compatible first, i know convertx does burn 3d mkv to dvd if the mkv is small enough, how it would look on normal dvds i do not know, i have a 3d tv and just drag the file to usb and plug it in to tv, tried doing it once just to see if it worked, burnt it to normal dvd disc (like you are trying to do) put it in my non 3d dvd player/recorder and when i pressed the menu button to switch to 3d sbs i could not highlight it

Thanks alot man.
Do they have to be mkv in order to be seen as 3d or can it be an avi, divx container of 3d movies etc?

I copied a lot of 3D movies just using DVDFab onto an ordinary blank DVD+r and played it on my old TV. It looks like a regular 3D movie with the little cheap glasses that came with the movie.

Well I understand what you are saying that it is not a true 3D picture. It looks pretty good though.Although I can only watch them once in a while since 3D movies give me a headache.
