The numbers at the end are almost like What RAR files look like, install 7zip (it's free)make sure you have RAR checked in 7zip settings, then right click on the first file, then left click on "EXTRACT TO BLAH,BLAH\" with any luck that will combine all 8 files into one single avi assuming i'm correct
Only other thing i can think of is your settings in vlc have changed, try changing settings so vlc handles all file types or do what i've done & install klite if one can't pay stuff the other usually does
Originally posted by free377: I have 8 .avi files that make up a 90-min. show. Now the first plays, the others say:
Judge John Deed - 5x06 - Heart of Darkness.avi.001

to
.008
And I used to be able to get all 8 to play together, now, no luck.
Any ideas?
Actually I believe the files need to be "put together" using a "split/join" program. A good one and free one is HJSplit which can be found at http://hjsplit.or*. I didn't fill in the correct last letter as I can't remember if we can show full links on this forum or not. You will find the file joining portion of the program is easy to use.
