Putting a subtitle track on a mp4?

So I converted a mkv video into a mp4 and now i need to put the subtitles back on. The subtitle file an ass file. How do I do this?

Try AviDemux.

Top menu:File > Open (select video).
Left Side menu:
Format > MP4
Audio > Copy
Video > MPEG-4 AVC
Video Filters > Subtitles > ASS to load the subtile file.
'Close' back to main screen:

File > Save > Save Video
Give the new file a name including the extension, e.g. NewFile.mp4
