I have two videos that I want to merge using xilisoft video converter. However, when I do the merging, the first part goes smoothly, but when it goes over to the second part, the audio/video is totally out of synch and the video kind of slows down.
Generally, when appending files, they should have the same frame rate, same resolution and audio.
I'm not familiar with that software (and you don't mention what type of files) but perhaps it expects the files to be similar or else it should recognize that they are not and be re-encoding them before joining them.
Use the likes of MediaInfo to compare the files.
Since this is commercial software there should be advice available at their site.
The two files are first converted with excactly the same settings, then tried to add subtitles and join them. They are converted to WMV or AVI (tried both)
joex30: the convertion is not the issue, it's the joining of the files
Also, as I write: The two files are first converted with excactly the same settings, then tried to add subtitles and join them. They are converted to WMV or AVI (tried both)
