ok i am a noob, so i will try to not overcomplicate this...based on my research on the internet of modding either harddrives or disk drive apparently because i updated a few days ago to kernal 2.0.12625.0 the jtagging method i was looking into wont work...i've also heard a few other security features have been added....i feel like im hitting a brick wall. it would be greatly appreciated if someone could direct me towards a tutorial for softmodding the new kernal or confirm for me that this kernal is unexploitable so i may rest my mind

Any kernel after v2.0.7371.0 was not exploitable. You can still flash your drive to play backups, but jtaging is out of the question.

BillB is correct, you cannot Jtag your box after the NXE update. There is also no way to 'down-grade' your dash to an earlier version.
