Hello, I have recently had my Xbox console banned.
I have since played one game offline.
All of my games are legit and my console isn't modded.
I was wondering how I can keep my gamertag and achievements/saved files onto another console without the risk of it being banned.
I really need methods of which are GUARANTEED to not get my new xbox console banned as I am in no position where I can just go out and spend, spend, spend.
Thankyou so much.

do you know what you did to get banned? there really is nothing to guarantee that you wont get banned again other than never connecting to xbox live.

Yes, I had purchased Xbox points off of a secondary source of which I was given Xbox accounts with the points on. I had to recover the accounts and spend points.

Thats a bummer. Id have to agree that its your console not your account because you used a different gamer tag to use the points. my guess is that the account was logged into after it was sold or the console the account was registered to was still being used on line causing the bann but who knows. Another possibility is that the accounts could have been stolen and flagged. It could have been a liscence transfer issue if the stuff was downloaded by the account before and the liscensce not transfered properly. so you'll be okay on a different console just dont use anything downloaded on the other accounts. your gamer tag should be ok.

Thankyou for the information.
What I did was recover the accounts and spend the MSP on packs on FIFA Ultimate Team and that was all. So would it be fine to just get a new console, recover my gamertag and play as I had previously?

I think you can't use your M$ points. You'll have to recover the 2 gamertags from your new console. Don't know what will happen then.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but why would he need to recover 2 gamer tags? As long as he doesn't wanna use anything from the points he got. I would consider what ever game he used it on to be a loss for safety reasons unless its a disk game and not a downloaded game. Ive only ever done one liscence transfer for games which he would need to do unless he just used the games he previously downloaded just when his profile was logged in. That works off line but I dont know about on line. I believe if the points were redeemed on a different account that he can just download his regular stuff from his gamer tag and liscence transfer and just wont have the stuff from the other account which would be good in this case so as not to get instabaned. Id recover just 1 tag then re download what is in the download history as he obviously used a different tag for the stuff that got him banned that stuff is a loss which I think he knows anyways and the liscence transfer shouldn't have any hitches because all they really know is someone used his console to redeem points. He had to be logged out of his tag to download the stuff on the other account.
I hope my son and I dont get banned just for using our gamer tags on the same console and he buys stuff with his points and so do I with mine. Everything we've done on it was legal I just cant afford 2 consoles for my one tv. I'm thinking what we look like were doing the same thing though legit credit cards are linked to both accounts from my console. I'm hoping that will make the difference but who knows.

I said so because he wants to use the MS points from the problematic account/gamertag. Additionally you can redownload a dlc only if it was purchased from your account/gamertag.
You and your son are safe unless you buy MS points from a third party vendor like the 10k MS points from eBay...

well if he uses the points on the next console or stuff from the problem account then his 360 is guaranteed a ban like the first one. Funny after reading this Ive seen a few people trying to sell points and gamer tags on different sites.

Basically I purchased Xbox Microsoft Points and was given details to Xbox accounts with the points on. I'd recover the accounts and then spend all of the points on FIFA Ultimate Team Packs, sell everything I got from the packs on the game and then put a player on the market off of my team and offered all of them coins to that player on my proper account. I would then once I've used all microsoft points up delete that account and move onto the next account. So would I be fine to buy a new Xbox put my old harddrive in and download everything back onto that console and recover gamertags and play online like normal?

I would say if there on your good account that Id be very worried about that. Any account that has been involved with those points is also banned. You have a confusing mess. If I were You I'd get a new xbox and start over with new account and gamer tag and take it as a hard earned lesson. I'd also format the drive and I'd even consider formatting it in a different 360 first then format it again in yours. It would be safer to junk the drive but formatted before you stuff it in will lessen the risk to the new box. I know that sucks but its the safest way. I didn't know all of what you said could actually be done. any and I mean any gamer tag linked to those points will be banned. I bet if you try to recover the tag on a console all your in game points achievements will have been reset and gone even if the accounts not banned but its unlikely that there not banned. Do what you like but if your gonna use any of those accounts associated with the bought points even in a very small way they are screwed even if the points were not used. you'll be playing with fire. you will get banned again and again. If you like live then get new accounts and don't mess around like that again.
If you didn't have the points or downloads attached to the account you'd be ok but if by team you to family pack membership then don't touch the accounts in the family pack.
