Hmm. How about bricked? Anyone brave enough to update his/her XBOX so we could check if it didn't brick the consoles?

its only because xbox live thinks that your drive is a BENQ or Liteon when its a Samsung or a Hitachi so they write the 0272 BENQ/Liteon stock FW to it. Making the drive bricked

Nah. You won't lose your account. Only the access. Unless you have an unmodded Xbox 360.

yeah mine is a benq drive prob be banned if turn on the live bit on xbox. there will proberly be a way around it soon anyway i hope lol

I've read that Micro$oft is replacing any frozen 360's with the may update. Well last week I did the may update, my games kept freezing when starting a multiplayer match, and I kept getting the 3 red rings. It was perfectly fine before that damn update, but because it wasn't the "frozen home screen" it doesn't qualify for a free replacement. I cleared the system cache, seems to be running okay for now, but if it happens again, no way in hell am I paying $100 + shipping to get it fixed, I'll boycott them before I do.
