Xbox not updating

I just purchased a Jtaggable xbox 360 and when I tried to update to 2.0.7371.0 through a usb flash drive, the console restarts after I press yes then the screen just stays black. The same thing happens when I try to play a game. I put the disc in then the screen just stays black. I have not Jtag'd the xbox yet and the dvd drive is flashed with LT+ 2.0. It's a Samsung drive.

There are various tutorial available about this over internet.You can jtag an xbox 360 by using an exploit found in the older xbox dashboard to rewrite the nand chip. The nand is kind of like a bios chip on a computer, when you flash the BIOS on a computer you're changing the way the computer interprets the information.

Say, you don't work for a computer helpline? Your information was overall correct, but not helpful at all and didn't even fit for the problem described. Also it came way too late.

PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.
