Avermedia HD Capturing Playstation 3 -

Hey, has anybody gotten problems capturing stuff off the Playstation 3? I have a phat PS3 with the latest firmware. Using an Avermedia HD Capture via HDMI and it's giving me an error.

That means that what you are trying to record is copyright protected by HDCP standards. This is something specific to HDMI. The PS3 system pretty much does that automatically, so the recording software with the AverMedia device is pretty much worthless.

You can use 3rd party software, such as VHCapture, to record HDCP content, though.
