My ps3 just got the yellow light of death. So the first thing I did was send it to a professional to get fixed. Well it turns out is done for good and I am wondering if I can transfer the hard drive in my original 60 gig Phat to a New Slim PS3?

Nope hard drives are encrypted to work only with the ps3 it was formatted in. you have lost all the data as far as I know.

Right but you can reformat the hard drive and start out from scratch? Also if i sell my ps3 as is and somebody else buys it do i have to worry about my playstation info? - credit cards login passwords?
