Anyone have both and can tell me what to buy and perhaps what games are best?
Just do it.

I have both, they both have great games. The graphics are equally good (or bad, depending on the game). The Xbox 360 is easier to hack/modify to play backups and it is possible to play Xbox 360 backups online. The PS3 on the other hand has free PSN. If I were you I'd check what consoles most of your friends have, if you want to play with them you need the same console. Other than that, it's really just a matter of taste.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Thanks for that. I am just so confused now. I have no idea what play backups is? :P That PSN looks good though.
Just do it.

Backups are games you burn yourself, others may call them copied games or pirated games or whatever.

Get an xbox, the things $ony have done to their customers, they dont deserve anyone's money anymore!
Just remember you arent buying a PS3 any more, you are leasing it under the license you buy! I dont think M$ have gone that far in their Terms yet.

At the moment I feel the same. I am extremely pissed since I found out that Sony's PSV memory cards are extremely expensive (50 Euro for 16 GB, you got to be f***ing kidding me, for a modified MicroSD-card). The only reason at the moment for a PS3 for me would be Last Of Us and that game is only coming out by the end of the year (if they can keep the deadline, that is).

That is just insane. You got me sold. I am not renting a PS. I hate the corporate greed. Why not sell the games at a price people do not find it to expencive to buy? Did you guys see the new http://www.dust514.com/en/home/ They are giving it away I think.
Just do it.

Yeah I read about that, I was pretty surprised by it, $ony allowing a game to be given a way for free on the PSN.
btw you do get to keep the PS3, but technically it's just loaned to you much like how many ISPs loan you a router and dont ask for it back after you have been with them for a year.
But even so, when I buy a PC I dont loan the hardware and agree to only install Windows on it when you have linux and other operation systems you can install.
In fact a read a quote from an article, cant remember where, where $ony claim that they fully support the homebrew scene. Did they forget how they still have a court case against graf for copyright infringement when he only tried to being back linux to the ps3, a feature $ony STOLE from all consoles that had been sold with it as an advertised feature! So there's some hypocrisy for ya from $ony.
Here's a nice little article:

$ony stealing games from those who already bought them!

Interesting. So seriously they just take out a game someone has the right to and he can never ever download it again? :) that is just xxxxed.
