My Ps3 recently got YLOD and Sony were kind enough to offer to replace it for free (its my 2nd in 7 months).

They informed me of a new process they carry out when swapping PS3s, they first take your PS3 and evaluate it and if it is broken as described then it passes and then you get given a new one.

But there is a problem, my hard drive caddy (the tray thing that slots onto the HDD) is slightly damaged (a metal caging part around screw is snapped in half) and one of the screws has become stuck on my 500 gb hardrive (i didnt use the right screwdriver and now its impossible to take off). So currently my PS3 has the damaged caddy and 3 screws on it with the stock 40 gig hardrive inside. The question is simply, Will it pass the inspection?

Will sony call me back and say that I have to pay or that they cannot reimburse me at all? or do they not look at the HDD?
