I got the yellow light of death about 1 1/2 monthes ago each time I turn on my ps3 the amount of times I have to press the power button increases and it sometimes shuts down all together while playing a game. I know I will need to buy a new ps3 at some point but Im curious as to how long it might last beore totally shutting down.



Has anyone had this and how long has your ps3 lasted with the yellow light of death?

Eventually, it will just pack up as it will just get hotter and hotter.
I am fixing these as a hobby and they suffer badly with heat.
I could poss do you a swap for a refurb if u were interested
