"I did exactly what was suggested on two different computers & each time after typing in the Reg Name & Reg Code I clicked on REGISTER as advised. In both cases, nothing happened except the Register screen froze & I had to reboot the computer to get rid of it. I tried it again unsuccessfully to registere but to no avail.
Has anyone else had the same problem. Any suggestions?"
I had a similar problem. Not only that, every time I ran that trial version and regardless what blu-ray disc I ran it on, it stopped immediately with a message saying "Process Finished". Yes, but it's a process finished without gettting any thing done.
I also tried to contact them for support but it turned out that the email address was also fake.

Until then, Sony can get stuffed with their greedy selves.
Why do people always single out Sony when there's news about Blu-ray?
There are plenty of brands that produce BD-R and BD-RE discs. The Blu-ray association is also comprised of a number of companies, of which Sony is only one. Plenty of movie studios are releasing on Blu-ray, again, of which Sony Movie Studios is only one. So why single them out?
I wonder that as well. It's always specifically "Sony" instead of all the companies involved with the BDA.

No kidding!!!!!!!!
I mean how can a Blu-ray movie cost 20 bucks or less and blank media be 25.99 (supermediastore.com)???
Can you say S-C-A-M?
No one in their right F'ing mind would pop 25 bucks for blank media. Four discs and you can go out and buy a 1TB Seagate drive.
By the time blank blu-rays come down, blu-ray will have died out. Give it 4 years from now.
Of all the different media on that site you specifically single out 1 type of BD-r (Dual layer 50gb to be exact) from that store instead of what most people on average would buy ~ 25GB 4X Verbatim Branded Media 10 Pack for a total of around 250gb for $29.25 or just $2.92 each disc from that same site. Quite a different picture from your $26 "example" of the cost of a BD-r! And that doesn't account for any other sites that have deals or just an overall lower price for the same media.

@ONER, BLU-RAY HOLLYWOOD fight against a raging black market that stands to greatly depreciate what's left of retail purchased movie media industry. In the last 3 years or so BLU-RAY writers along with BD media have surfaced to the retail public. BLU-RAY/SONY/PLAYSTATION 3 won the HD format war. BLU-RAY is practically selling your HD/TV's and BD stand alone players. BD players and writers are now included with current model PC desktops and laptaps. The BD media and it's high cost is the golden egg. SLYSOFT/AnyDVD/HD the baddest DVD/BD decrypter on the planet is waiting in the wings to RIPP BD media industries head off as they prepare to release CloneBD. I back up my BD titles and I'm glad for this advance in technology that allows for me to do this.
But I cant be mad at the BLU-RAY industry for trying to hold on to their investment even by the skin of their teeth. I purchase my BD media primarily from JAPAN where the media is no doubt cheaper...but no not cheap. BLU-RAY back ups in terms of cost is a "BIG BOYS" hobby in terms of cost and interest as many people still don't own a BLU-RAY player let alone a BLU-RAY version movie. Be patient. The way I see it when it all comes down over the next 6months or so, I'll be a year plus ahead of the BD back up game in terms of know how and in ownership of legitimate BD back up software.

One thing you've got to know is that most blu-ray movies were recorded on double-layer discs. To my knowledge, almost all double-layer blank dics are still over $20 a piece. Do you have any recommendation for where to get some cheap double-layer blu-ray blank discs?

Who cares, almost all of play these over home networks, attached hdd etc. I have ripped 200 blu rays and have them for access at anytime but never burned one. they cost on average $$0.70 to store on hdd at 10 gb. They are on my WHS and stream to any TV in my house. And it doesn't take more than two oer three minutes o temporarily copy to a laptop hard drive if I want one on the road.

How do you play these movie files on the big screen TV? How about the quality? Look as good as blu-ray discs?

NEW GIVEAWAY! Have you guys noticed the news in PRNewswire that WinX Blu-ray Decrypter is being away again before Sept, 15?
This time is different. This giveaway comes with a big upgrade, so this software can, according to the news, decrypt "any Blu-ray video discs, even encrypted with recent AACS MKB v25, BD+ and BD-Live, etc., and transform 3D Blu-ray to 2D video". Also, it is said to be able to both backup BD to a M2TS file or a complete folder.
Admittedly this kind of giveaway products may have some limits. But I saw the detailed info on a PDF that WinX Blu-ray Decrypter on this giveaway has no limit on functions at all! The only limit is not support for lifelong upgrade. But I think it is also worth trying for free.
Note: Activate the software before Sep.15 after free downloading.
