Burner not working.

So I got this old PC out for my sister. Had to reinstall XP as their had been a virus.

After install burner wouldn't eject. Finally after WD-40 and cleaning it ejects. Not sure if that was the problem however.

The light wasn't staying on. Almost like it had a short on problem with power cord.

I got it ejecting and staying on. But now it won't play DVD's. Haven't attempted to burn.

It's a Ben Q 1640 that I installed in '07

Exact message says:

I get nothing there. But I suppose it is a virus or something causing the issue.

The burner isn't 10 years old. It's about 5 or 6 though. Think I got it 05 actually.
