K-Lite Codec killing the sound on my other videos

Hi all,

I have downloaded and installed the K-Lite Codec Pack to convert my MP4 home movies to burn them to a disc. The software I am using in Free DVD Creator.

When I install the codec I can convert and burn the DVD successfully, but it kills the sounds on all my other videos (AVIs for example). They come out all crackly.

K-Lite Codec

I am using Win7.

Any idea what this could be?
