Kind of a silly question maybe: My DVD Shrink, HD DVD FabDecrypter (3 to 8QT), and Nero 5 all work fine on my new windows 7 laptop, but a friend told me they would not as they are old and wold not work on a 64-bit system, yet they all work fine, perfect--why is this? I would like to tell him this.

Maybe because most of the extant software is 32 bit and W7 would get precious little use if it didn't support them?

So even if I run a W7 at 64-bit, it is somehow running stuff at 32?

Thanks!
