I ran across these isolation ear bud that list for 399.99. They are safer on the ears over 10% less loud. That does put them below ear damage during even a short duration for those who can't limit their mp3 players. While good in-the-ears range 8-22,000 Hz these range 10-20,000. They claim to be the most popular with musicians. They must have given them all a pair. They come with more goodies than the $10 ones but I guess a fool is born every minute.

Mez my old buddy how are you?

The only thing I think intriguing about these earbuds is that they have three dedicated speakers in each ear piece. That is something I've never seen before. But despite that, they are WAY too expensive considering they only have a 10-17k frequency response. I don't cave how many extras and goodies they come with, that's just too over the top. I'm still happy with my 7 year old $40 Sony earbuds.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

Good to hear from you!!!!

Yes I am using the same now. My wife through out my favorite ones the Phillips. I really suggest you buy a pair or 2 of them. They may actually have a tiny tad better base. 6 vs 8 Hz. They are more comfortable for my ears because the plugs are thinner = softer and the wiring is thinner = softer and a bit better and they have a disconnect to more easily go under your shirt. Both brands are discontinued and can be bought for a song. Newer ones do not have the range of the old ones.

I could care less about 3 speakers since the quality is inferior. With 3 it could be better but I bet the implementation is just too difficult to get it right.

Hey check out the top sticky. I think it contains an amazingly valuable set of info. Please add articles that ought to be there. You know much more about audio mastering ect than I. I would love to read an article about the pros and con to new mastering techniques. Why loudness may not help quality. I have yet to find the right article.
