Please can someone help me?

I have to record an MP3 of my voice for a language course I am doing, it's really annoying when I almost complete the recording and then make a mistake and have to erase the whole lot and start over again!

Is there some kind of software out there where I could erase the mistake and continue from the last sentence? ... just like the old cassette recorders?
I do hope someone can advise me on this as I'm tearing my hair out with frustration!!

TIA

Of course there is - it's called an audio editor.
Open up the file and delete the parts you don't want.

Thanks Davexnet, I've worked out how to delete part of the audio file I don't want, but I can't work out how I can add more recording to the same file - please can you help me?

TIA

It's OK ... I've just worked it out, I discovered the quick mix button :)

It is FAR easier to just keep recording then cut out the junk than concatenating files. You STILL have to cut out the junk so starting over just adds extra work.

Hi Mez, yes I do that ... I then cut out the mistakes and then add the corrections.
I had it worked out last night but today I've forgotten how to do it!!!

So please can you tell how I add audio to an existing file ... I know you have to click for the cursor to appear where you want the recording to be, but from there I've forgotten everything :(

Any help appreciated.
