I want to burn cd's from archived mp3 public speakers. The problem is when you're listening to these compilations the difference in volume when the speaker is speaking softly versus louder is ear piercing.
Is there free cd burning software that uses vocal compression to limit the highs and lows?

The easiest to use is Media Monkey. You can normalize the disk as you burn it which reduces the peak loudness.
