I hope I posted this in the right discussion group.

Hello everyone. I am new to the site and I am somewhat technologically challenged.LOL.
I am trying to figure out what free programs are best for me to use to rip my DVDs to my hdd on my pc so that I watch at my convenience. Also I would like to be able to reformat to a smaller size to put some on my Nexus 7. I'm not interrested in making any dvd copies, just want to have on my home pc and watch on my home network. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Also i am running win 7 64x if that helps.

Rip with DVD Decrypter, compress with DVD Shrink and convert with Format Factory.

I would suggest you look at DVDFab. Go to their web site and read about all it can do re conversions. I have never messed with video on an Android, but I think DVDFab can do that.

Check it out.

Thank you for the responses and for moving to the right forum. I have DVD fab and I have tried it with no avail. I have ripped dvds to the Nexus format ( as described in DVD Fab drop menus) with no luck.
