Pinnacle capture device & Vista, is there a diff driver to use?

i have 2 video capture devices made by Pinnacle. One is the MovieBox+ & the other is Dazzle VideoCreator Platinum. Both come with the Pinnacle Studio SW.

What i need is to find a driver that will allow it to bypass the !@-^$% sw, which is terrible. It crashes on the computer during capture, making it unreliable.

Anyone know if it can be used with VFW generic drivers through VirtualDub? That would be darn sweet!!
