This may be the wrong forum but I'm curious about audio mixdown. For instance when using handbrake or dvd fab to put a dvd onto my ipod it asks for the audio format or mixdown.

Is this what the input is or the output? ie. If a movie is dolby surround and I want it in stereo for my ipod would I select stereo mixdown or dolby surround?

Normally select the stereo. On some material the surround choice
may work, give a try and see. In either case, the option controls
the output format.
