Choppy playback for large MKV.

Hi Guys,

I have problems playing Large HD MKV, files smaller ones under 2gig will just about play as long as nothing else is running on my computer and will only run on media player classic.

I'm not clued up on the whole memory thing but presumed it was causing the issues as the CPU usage is maxed out when playback is choppy. I upgraded from 2gig to 4 gig of ram recently but not sure if i'm getting full use of it.

My PC is about 5 years old specs below:

XP home v5.1.26 SP3 build 2600
System is Dell Dimension 5000
Processor x86 family ~2992Mhz
Total physical memory 4,096 mb
Available Physical Memory 2.26 GB
Total Virtual Memory 2.0 GB
Available Virtual Memory 1.96 GB
Graphics card is Radeon x300

Any ideas what the issue is?
