Video freezes at each chapter

I converted some AVI files to DVD format using AVStoDVD, saved itto my HD and also burned to a disc.
Using WMP the video plays up to one second before each chapter and freezes. I need to fast forward the chapter to continue.
This happens on both my HD copy and my disc copy. The disc copy plays perfectly, (no freezes) on a standalone player.

I have converted some very similar files that are in sequence before the file in question and these have no problem playing.

Is there a way to fix this?

Try playback using VLC or MPC-HC.
If that is satisfactory you can try the support thread at VideoHelp.

Thanks for the reply. The AVI files play fine.
The DVD files also play fine w/ VLC, real player, etc.
Only with WMP, I get the freeze.
