I have a DVD that had an old VHS transferred to it. I want to put it on my computer (WindowsXP). It plays on Windows Media Player and Windows Media Player Classic but it will not let me save it onto my computer itself(under My Video preferably?). Nor will it come up on Windows Movie Maker. It says it will not read it. What is the simplest way to save a DVD onto my computer so I can use Movie Maker, edit, put on YouTube, etc? Do I need additional (free)software? All new to me. Extreme novice.

Since it is already a copy, there should be no real copy protection to break.
Cant you just locate the drive in windows explorer and copy the folder then paste it to wherever you want it located on your machine?
