I have 2 LED lights, designed for 12V, a 12V power supply, and 2 switches. I want one switch to turn on both lights, and the other switch to turn on just one.

I have a lot of electrical knowledge, but not so much in electronics.

To me the diagram below would be how I wire it.

If this would work, all I need is a diode, but I know nothing of them. Could somone tell me what kind and or where I could get one for this?

A silicone diode that is good for up to 1 amp.
This one probably take drops 0.7 volts leaving 11.3 for the led (I assume these are rated at 12volts?).
