when i am using imgburn i try to change it for benq and put it on DVD+RDL and then i try to put it on DVD rom but it wont let me because it says i have an invalid cammand code... I'm unsure what to do

I assume you are trying to change the booktype of a burner.
If, after selecting the Benq tab, you are getting an error message, it's because the burner cannot be changed.

You might want to go to the ImgBurn Forum and post the query there.
