Cant rip movies from DVD+R discs...

Hey all,
My brothers wife took all of my fathers videos from cassette to dvd. Now im trying to rip these dvd's to my iMac so I can view them on my new Apple TV, but it will only rip half of the video and some dvds wont even read correctly on my iMac to view it before ripping. My Gateway laptop is the only PC that will read it and play it fine but wont rip correctly. I even try to drag and drop copy the VOB files but it says it has trouble copying. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

On the PC, try the old DVD Decrypter (not DVDFab) .
Under Settings > Devices, set Hardware Retries to a higher number so that it makes multiple attempts to read the sectors.
You can also slow down the read speed to see if that helps.
