I was at my local frys today and i saw verbatim dvd+r 100pack spindle for 14.99 on sale. I got exited since my frys never carried verbatim and now they do and what a great price for 100pk... I looked at them closer and saw they are made in United Arab Emirates.... I have never seen this. I usually stay with the Singapore for dl and made in Taiwan for dvd+r... Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with these disks....

If they are 'Value Series', then they are probably CMC or Ritek.

no they had the value line also but they had the same packaging as the MIT....here is an example

UAE are authentic Mitsubishi media from the Falcon Tech (FTI) plant in UAE. This has been going on for at least a year now.

I was at Staples (Toronto) yesterday to grab a 100pk of 16x +R and all they had were UAE's. Same thing with the -R's. Seeing mixed comments when I googled them. Negative comments on Amazon from a few people. Guess I'll find out how good/bad they are when I back up some non critical files.
