Hey guys...
OK, i am totally new to FMCB and really could use some help...

I've used this guide:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/191217

and got SNES Station + 500 roms onto a DVD+R disk...

Now when I put it in, I'm not 100% what to do, I've attmpted to use the 'Launch Disc' option, aswell as ESR - which when selecting launch app just go's to a black screen.

And ULaunchElf does nothing while holding the select button on system startup (i've hot key'ed select to load up ulaunch)

Any help?

Ok did you patch the ISO image with 'esr disc patcher .24a

You have your files on the disk

ROMS - folder
snes_emu.elf
SYSTEM.CNF - if you don't have this, you need to create one using Notepad

BOOT2 = cdrom0:\SNES_EMU.ELF;1
VER = 1.00
VMODE = PAL/NTSC

Then save it as 'All files' and name it SYSTEM.CNF

For fmcb 1.8 the hot keys are as follows by default, unless you change the application

BOOT.ELF ( R1)
ESR.ELF ( R2)
HDLOADER.ELF ( L1)
SMS.ELF ( L2)
FMCB Configurator ( START)

There is no SELECT, that I know of.

uLaunch.elf itself can be configured to use SELECT, once its loaded

That could be why its not loading.

Hi Smokey,
Thanks for the quick reply... I've just converted the file from NRG to ISO (as ESR dosnt like NRG files... Then tryed to patch it and got a 'NO UDF DESCRIPTOR' error...

Now I've got this error everytime I've tryed to patch a game aswell so if someone could explain the error and how to fix it would save my life :)

Ok you will get the "no udf descriptor' if the game is a CD game

YOu can't patch CD games for ESR

They need to be converted to DVD

So say this SNES you created will need to be a DVD UDF/ISO image

Nero will save as ISO also, you just need to change it when asked to save, instead of .nrg

You can use UltraISO to add the UDF Descriptor if you know its a DVD ISO image you have.

Just open the ISO, click on properties, then 'check the tab UDF', click ok and it will save a new ISO image with UDF descriptor.

thanks again for the quick reply...

Thats really helped, I've now burnt a game and it works - altho its in black and white... Is this because its an NTSC?

In which case I know how to convert it :)

also when I load up the Snes Station ISO in UltraISO it says its invalid... could this be because i had to convert it from NRG?

no problem SkullyPSX
Yeah if its in Black & White, that is probably the problem that it is in NTSC and your PS2 is PAL

Ok you may have to totally start over with the SNES image.

Just open Nero Burning Rom
Select NEW
Select DVD UDF/ISO

Then compile your image

Then using the image recorder, just when it asks to save, change it from .nrg to ISO by clicking the arrow on the right.

Thanks again Smokey,
I can now burn and load ISO backups fine it was that the games were NTSC...

1 final problem (i hope) I've re-burned a diffrent copy of SnesStation... This had patched fine and will load, the 1 problem now is, SnesStation loads fine (the menu and credits screen) but after loading a ROM its black and white... I'm guessing this may be because there NTSC again... But I have no program to change SNES roms from NTSC, any suggestions?

- Also there listed as (U) which I thought was universal, and not region coded :/

Hey SKully

The (U) is for USA region, (E) for Europe (J) japan

So trying pressing 'Triangle', going into options, and see if your Display is Set to 'PAL' or what for sure.
If it is in PAL already, then try changing it and see if that helps or not.

I am not sure what too tell you as I have NTSC PS2 and I can play the (E) PAL games fine.
