I hade a problem with my memory card 8 mb, and when i tried to format it with my ps2 browser it said " Formatting Failed". then i tried to format it with action replay max and it worked and increased to 16 mb.
did this happened to anyone here?
is that normal, or is it a sign that it will be dead soon?
try to fill up the entire memory. if any saves gets corrupted, then you really have a problem. you should also try another format method, maybe action replay formated it wrongly. i use a gameshark v4 disc to format corrupted memory cards, and it worked fine for me so far. also, if you're sure your memory card is a sony 8mb oficial memory card, then you can also be sure that it is corrupted and it will corrupt save files sometime (maybe not all save files, but it will corrupt some, probably the ones at the end of the allocated space in memory card's memory...)
