I installed the program on to the memory card using swap magic and my usb thumb drive. When this is done is there a way to have the ps2 boot strait to the freemc boot. I still have to boot with swap magic into ulaunchelf then launch freemc and use its menu to launch the program.

Something must have happened.

Check the 'Configure Settings' tab in this guide

http://freemcboot.psx-scene.com/index.php

You have to save the settings FREEMCB.CNF to mc0

Thanks I used this guide to learn how to install the program. I think I saved the config to mc0 I looked on my memory card and it did have it on there. Could it be my ps2 version I have been reading about the 90001 having trouble with some of these programs.

What is the Date Code on the bottom of your PS2
If its 8c after March, then fmcb 1.8 won't work on your PS2.

Sony changed the Bios in them at that time.

Dang mine is a 8D. Hopefully they will adapt the program to work with this model soon. I've just started modding on the ps2 but I have done a lot of stuff with the original xbox and the wii.

I don't think it will ever happen, but would be nice.

On mine I just load ELF files from memory card or USB drive if I want to launch a different application.

You can view the SM 3.6 instructions here: link

I'm just loading all my elf files through the elf loader that is on my usb drive that boots from swapmagic. I have mainly been using the media player and trying a few emulators. Well thanks for all your help I will keep checking for updates and new software for this model.
