Troubleshooting a USB port on the Playstation 2 SCPH-90001

I was wondering if anyone out there in Internet World Knew How to get a USB flash drive to read on a PS2. For some reason Mine's not reading any device connected to it.

You need software to use a usb device on a PS2.

The PS2 itself does not recognize the USB port.

What exactly do you want too use the usb drive for?

If its to play usb games off a drive, you can purchase USBExtreme or you can get your ps2 softmodded and use the USBAdvance.elf file.

There is fmcb 1.8 that could be installed to a memory card, and then you could use any PS2 application.

yea dude u can but u gotta have it modded and use a program called SMS simple media server....And a compatible usb drive
