I own a Canon VIXIA HF100, and it's been collecting dust. I want to break it out, and start using it on a regular basis. I live in Germany, and all of my family is in the states. I'd like to use this to showcase my kids development through the years.

I'd be grateful if there is a tutorial on the use of this particular model for the intended purpose.

Now onto the question(s):

-How can I use this camcorder to display video's on YouTube, or something similar?

-How can I burn the movies onto a DVD-R, and mail to the states?

-What settings do I need to use to get optimal quality?

-Are there other hardware/software that needs to be purchased?

This isn't relevant, but in the console gaming industry you use a capture card for your saved clips, etc. Not sure if anything like that would apply to this.
