I need help choosing a new camcorder, one that will have at least good video quality. I currently have 2 MiniDV camcorders, both Sony. They are models DCR-HC26 as well as the -HC28. I think they are real easy to use, but severely lack in the quality of the video. It is very grainy and just does not look very good. From what I have read, that is what other people say as well. The problem is apparently because of the lack of a decent image sensor. So back to my problem, what makes a good camera. I'm not to particular about the media form, size, color, dig zoom, or still picture capability. I would want something on the cheap preferably under $300. Something High-Def would be nice, such as the Kodak Zi8 or Zi6, or the Flip ones. The only problem there is I need a optical zoom of at least 10X. I would prefer a built in light as well. I also don't mind buying used. Good sound quality would be great too. Please let me know of any feedback you might have. Thank you! Doug
