Yes! I m confused with all these formats. I ve found some models that record at H264 format (which I prefer since mpeg2 belongs to the past IMHO) but the format is not .avi or .mp4 but .MOV ! How come a divx dvd player or my PS3 will play such files? I dont want to convert or demux or do whatever losing hours and hours because I m already doing this thing for my old VHS tapes, and i dont want more of this trouble!!
The only thing I want is to shoot my footage ,copy it somehere and watch it using the usb of TV or DVD player's.

I am wondering if by renaming these .mov files to .mp4 make them watchable since the format is H264 (I know ,too naif)...how come these manufacturers make products giving movies only for pc's?

thank you in advance
