i have an xbox, im trying to load nes roms(.nes) to fce ultra using flashfxp. Every time i send the roms it doesnt work and say"pasv is not implementated". How do i fix this so i can transfer my nes backups to my xbox?
thanks
I've never encountered that error. Are you even able to connect to the Xbox? Are you sure you are using an FTP Crossover cable? Make sure your connecting ends of the cable match this diagram (the colors of the cables)
You could alaways FTP with Internet Explorer. Type ftp://xbox:xbox@192.168.0.2/ as the URL. Then, click on the Page, select Open FTP window. If you have Vista, you can just type FTP in any windows folder, should connect, with right IP settings of course.
Last thing to check is the file names you are tying to FTP. if they are too long, abbreviate them. Anything over 20 characters might be too long. Also, sybols like %$&*# etc are no good. Rename files if needed.
i some how got it to work? instead of putting the roms in the <roms> folder. i put it in the above folder and just open it from that route on the xbox not sure why i could ftp to the <nes> folder but not the <roms> folder. but hell it worked, thanks for the help.
No problem. Btw I have an emulator disc that has over 1000 roms for 6 different emulators. Pictures below:
Run it from a burned DVD or the HD (configure INI for HD)
Gameboy Advance (GBA)
Sega Genesis (GENS)
Nintendo (NES)
Super Nintendo (SNES)
Arcade (MAME)
Sega Master System (SMS)
If you can find this on google, 'killalltheyuppies', download it. It is roughly 1.22gb. IF you can't find it, I can burn it to a dvd and ship it to you for like 10$. Great dvd if anyone else is interested.
Wow that does sound nice. Especially since it comes in a package. Do you know if all the roms are named properly or do they have all those funky symbols on them to?
