I own two original XBox systems. One has been successfully modded with UNLEASHX using SIDv3.1. The other I have appeared to brick. The system itself will boot games still but refuses to launch the MS Dash or AID. I was using the Splinter Cell method to do this, which no longer appears to work resulting in the system flashing to either a 13 or 21 service error. A sudden power outage caused the installation to abort resulting in the current fiasco. I was wondering if there were a way to restore my second system using the successfully modified XBOX and backing up its working C Drive etc. Sorry if I have not articulated this well enough, I am new to this specific scene and have plenty of experience with every system. . . Other than XBox. I am trying here ha ha, any help is greatly appreciated. This is what I have to work with, any required software I can acquire when needed.
1 XBox with UnleashX
1 Non working XBox that boots games but not MS Dash, Splinter Cell Exploits, AID or SID.
1 Spare 250gb MaxtorHD I intended on upgrading with.
2 Memory Cards With Splinter Cell exploit
1 Copy of Splinter Cell
Yeah a power outage during the install would certainly leave you with Error 21 or 13. 13 is a dashboard launch failure, 21 the machine boots to display a flagged error. You most likely can fix the problem, just preform a hotswap and use XboxHDM to rebuild the XboxHD to factory condition. You can use Ndure with XboxHDM to install UnleashX also.
I would suggest getting the HD back to a fresh point. Once it is restored, you should be able to install the softmod with the save exploit. You can read how to hotswap with XboxHDM here:
